Critics have given the movie favorable reviews, praising its humor, action, and acting. It is now the tenth-highest grossing movie of 2022 with worldwide box office receipts of nearly $399 million.

Thor Love and Thunder Review

Thor: Thunder and Love does make an effort to address issues of love and sorrow while introducing the Mighty Thor and taking Thor on a quest for understanding. Unfortunately, though, because of a hurried pace and an excessive number of jokes that are nearly never humorous, it doesn’t work as well as it should.

Thor actor Chris Hemsworth is still going strong, but the excessive silliness is starting to become old. Even though Tessa Thompson doesn’t have a lot of screen time, she still does a fantastic job as Valkyrie. Natalie Portman has never been better in this role.

This time, Taika Waititi’s Korg drastically overstays his welcome and quickly starts to upset the audience. One of the stronger MCU villains, Christian Bale has a compelling reason and a menacing appearance, but his screen time is severely restricted.

On the other hand, Takia’s direction is stronger, there is some good visual imagery, and the color scheme is very colorful, but alas, the MCU drab is still pervasive throughout. From beginning to end, the CG is continually erratic.

The absence of Thor’s theme is bothersome, even though Michael Giacchino’s music is mostly good and includes one new tune that is rather memorable. All of the songs on the soundtrack are timeless pieces that perfectly reflect the mood and aesthetic, however some of them could have been utilised more effectively.
