Shaitan Review

successful director Mahi V Raghav, who just directed the very successful show “Save The Tiger,” is the creator of Shaitan. The creators have been shouting from the rooftops that Shaitan will be on the same level as Mirzapur and Pataal Lok ever since the first image of this series was unveiled. Shaitan certainly lives up to the anticipation and, in terms of intensity, is comparable to the aforementioned Hindi series. However, Shaitan is situated against a recognizable background of Naxals in terms of scale.

After seeing the program, it is safe to conclude that Telugu OTT has never before produced a series of this caliber. Shaitan’s level of violence is simply too high, and because of the gore, foul language, and demonstrated killings, it is a program for adults only. Mahi V Raghav did not make any concessions and presented his characters in such a way that the show’s title was justified. Even while the use of profanity gives the play authenticity, one has the impression that there was no need for so many instances of these words, which grow tiresome after a while.

However, Mahi V. Raghav’s screenplay is accurate and does not veer off course. Modern web series drag on for no reason and boring the audience because they have too many subplots to fully tell the story. The story is told simply and without deviation in Shaitan, and there aren’t many subplots, which is its strongest feature. Each episode lasts less than 30 minutes and is easy to watch.

Action-packed scenes in Shaitan include situations where heads are severed from bodies, women are raped, and talks that are too shocking to be written about. Additionally, Shaitan is about more than simply bullying, romance, and violence. Additionally, because these characters lack emotions, the creators have shown Bali and his family members in a very non-guilty light if they are responsible for the crimes.

Shaitan’s major flaw is when the narrative leaves Bali and the family behind. The plot becomes stale, the sequences with the main police unit are unimpressive, and a few stronger performers ought to have been cast in these roles. When it comes to performances, Rishi does an excellent job portraying Bali. He exhibits emotions like hatred, grief, and anger well.

However, Devyani Sharma, who plays Jayaprada, excels in the part. She is a fantastic performer and stunning in Shaitan, regardless of how she appears, acts, or is portrayed on screen. Jaffer is the only person who could have played the part, but alas, he did not get much screen time.

Shelley, Ravi Kale, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla perform as expected. New faces made up the majority of the supporting cast; yet, more well-known performers would have improved the impact of this play.

Shaitan’s premise is well known, yet neither its plot nor its turns are really original. But because of the way that the show’s creator, Mahi V. Raghav, packaged it with gripping drama, daring sequences, and serious crime, you find yourself drawn into Shaitan’s world right away.
