Highway Love Movie Review
Director Sahir Raza has produced a light and airy rom-com about two strangers whose lives become entangled after they meet on a highway by coincidence, following the dark dramas “Illegal—Justice Out of Order” (2020) and “The Married Woman” (2021). This four-part television series has 30-minute segments that are predictable but entertaining to watch.
The protagonist of the novel is Inaya, who recently called it quits with her boyfriend—the man who abandoned her on the side of the road. There she meets Kartik, also known as Dhun Dhun, who is en route to Mahabaleshwar to meet his parents when his car tire blows and he is unable to fix it. She then arrives on the scene and provides assistance. Despite being on opposite ends of the spectrum, they click right away and start out on a wonderful voyage.
After their previous web series rom-com, Ishq Express (2022), Gayatri Bhardwaj and Ritvik Sahore are back with their lovable chemistry. Sahore’s portrayal of a reserved person is overshadowed by Bhardwaj’s portrayal of a passionate and forceful girl. They are anchored and feel real. But why do we question whether this is actually conceivable? Many of us have met people who were once complete strangers but have become into very good friends. Though it’s a little difficult to imagine in practice, falling in love after meeting a stranger on the road. Sahil and Meera, Dhun Dhun’s close buddies, are noisy characters in the show who are over-loving-cum-inseparable as a couple. They are portrayed by Vvansh Sethi and Gunit Cour, respectively.
In any relationship, priorities, love, emotions, communication, and our personal expression all play crucial parts. You might empathize with and relate to the characters in “Highway Love,” even though the story is very basic and superficial in its treatment of the subjects it chooses to explore.
“Don’t get me wrong; we go together like a burger and fries,” This is how viewers feel at the conclusion of this slow-moving drama that is enjoyable to watch, made possible by Ritvik Sahore and Gayatri Bhardwaj’s captivating performances throughout their lengthy highway drive.
