Genius Story

Genius Review

He fluctuates between being a collegiate goofball, a charming charmer, and a top student on campus. Our hero Vasudev Shashtri, also known as Vasu (Utkarsh Sharma), can solve rubix cubes in record time to save lives, chase a racing convoy on a bicycle with a limping foot, and shoot both bullets and vedic chants with equal ease.

Anil Sharma, the film’s director, places a great deal of pressure on his son’s thin shoulders to bravely outwit everyone else, even the evil Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Utkarsh performs admirably for a debutant with his boyish charm despite the film’s shaky script’s frequent failures.

The story tries to produce a potboiler by cramming too many components in, but not all of them work. The young couple’s superficial but soulless campus relationship is shiny. Ishita Chauhan, a film debutante actress, has a high glam factor but displays minimal facial expression.

A polished A-team, cartoon bad guys, a secret operation with strong patriotic undertones, and a group of RAW operatives that behave nervously around crises are all present.

As the National Security Advisor, Mithun Chakraborty gives his role an excessive amount of seriousness. Nawazuddin enters in style, but his performance as a brilliant individual gone wrong is a hamfest.

The first part of the movie includes some eerie, well shot music, but the second half is worse.

In general, “Genius” is a jumbled mass of a few naive IIT hacks, loud noises, and verbose filmy dialoguebazi.
